I usually see about about 2 or 3 moves ahead, I rarely need to see farther ahead.
How many moves can you calculate ahead?

Yeah around 2 or 3.
Probably 5-7.
Considering I'm only 12 years old and that my brain space will grow in the near future, I'm happy

It depends on the situation. In the middle of the game you think ahead many movements because more pieces are involved in a situation. The ratio of pieces involved/situation is the answer I think.
