I recently took part in a rapid chess tournament as a complete underdog. My opponent employed the brisk movement of picking up the pieces and the loud smack when setting the pieces down on the board, which made my imagination run wild unable to grasp the strategic objective behind his moves. I had taken extra time trying to figure out my opponent’s plan that made him whack the piece on the board so confidently. How should one react to such players.
