Well, you can either, move faster, or get vacation time, but DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE GAME!!!

If your clock reaches zero (i.e. times out while it's your turn) then the opponent automatically wins. If the opponent's clock reaches zero (i.e. times out on his turn) then you automatically win. It doesn't matter who has the better position*. That puts the pressure on you to keep making moves :-) Are you sure it wasn't your own clock that was timing out?
* (except in some really obscure cases where the "time winner" doesn't physically have enough pieces on the board to win - then it's a draw. But that will probably only ever happen in 1 or 2 minute fast games).

I've played a number of games and have clearly been winning. When it is timed out the win has been awarded to the oponent. I'm probably being thick. Let me know what I need to do. It's annoying me now!
