I love blitz but I play in spare time, often while talking to someone in person, so I'm pretty terrible at it online. I bounce from 1600s to 1800s regularly. Blitz isn't a time control to learn from anyway; use it to explore new openings. If you want to practice tactics, then practice tactics :)

First, don't take advice from me if unless your under 1000. I hate blitz because I don't get much time to think, like in tactics. So make yourself so you can only win with alot of time, and boom your a pro at lessons. Considering my tactics is 900 and my lessons are 1500, i'd say this is not so horrible advice.
