How to beat mean chess players OTB

Chess pays zero and even if u reach like 2000 fide, u will still have a hard time trying to live a good life doing coaching services. So go and study, become something like doctor or engineer IAS otherwise u will remain a failure ( typical Indian parents)
But ur from North Korea how would u know about Indians
Hello everyone.
This is a tutorial on how to beat mean players in tournaments.
Step 1: Greet them by saying Hello or Good morning.
Step 2: Talk with them and lie about your rating(So they get scared) and tell 'em that it's your first tournament.
Step 3: Act like you are confident and play an unsound opening(I prepared for it in my case)
Step 4: Play well and defeat them.
Recently my OTB rated tournament just got over and I was unrated before it. I got 3rd place in unrated with 6/9 points, 4 points coming off rated players.
This is the story of my round 7 matchup.
It was 8:30 AM and I entered the hall, searching for my seat when I arrived I saw my opponent sitting and fidgeting with a white pawn. I was black in that game. I took my seat and greeted him. He was 1177 rated and was 4 years older than me(I'm 12) and I was unrated.
Instead of greeting me back, here's how our conversation went-
Me: Hello!
Him: (looks at my face for a second)What's your rating?
Me: I am unrated.
Him: What's your online rating?
Me: I am 1800 Rapid on chess.com(A total lie). What's yours?
Him: I am 2300 Classical on Lichess.
(We meditate for a minute)
Him: Does a rated player get points if he beats an unrated one?(He was indirectly asking me if he would get points if he were to defeat me!)
Me: I don't know, you can ask the arbiter maybe.
(Game starts and we shake hands.)
I was black and I beat him! He was so annoyed and irritated that he sat at the board for two mins angrily, and only then did he submit his scoresheet. I prepared the English Defense(d4 b6) against d4 with black and it paid off!
He spent 10 mins on 6. Qe2 which showed that he thought I was some random noob with a repertoire(He must have been taken by surprise!).
