Are you dragging the King all the way to its destination square?
For example, you have to click on the King on e1, and drag it all the way to g1 (or c1). If you drag it to f1 and let go, it will not complete the castle for you. You moved Kf1! That's your move!
You have to move the King 2 squares and it will then automatically move the Rook for you!

Do you mean sometimes or all the time?
Remember, if your King is in check or passes through check while castling, the move is not allowed.
If you have previously moved the K or R involved in castling, the move is not allowed.
In OTB, you announce Castle but touched the Rook first, would that be illegal?

People on here say I can just drag the king to a square and it should castle but it just doesn't work for me and it's pretty frustrating. What's deal? Anyone know?
