Not sure about coffee spills, but lint removers might take care of the dirt.
Washing machines are a bad idea ... you tend to mess up the pad's gripping surface as well as see a deterioration in its texture.

I have a large chess pad which is rubber based, it works great as computer mouse pad and I believe that was a selling factor of this pad. I can roll the pad and leave it sitting in a twisted heap and still comes out flat.The question is; "how do i clean this pad". Over the years cofee spills and overall dirt has accumulated. Any suggestions are freatly appreciated.
