How to deal with cheaters?

Hi, people,

I'm new here, and I don't know if there is a specific thread for this, so I'm opening a new one. Mods, by all means feel free to delete/move this.

So, basically, how do you deal with cheaters? I've been playing A LOT of people using engines lately.

"How do you know they're using engines?"

Well, I copy-paste each and every one of my games into ChessBase 11 and let Deep Rybka 4.0 64bits analyse them. When I see a guy with 1200+- ELO playing PERFECTLY according to Rybka, I can't help but conclude they are cheating.

So, how do I deal with these guys? Is there a way to report such behaviour?

Thanks,

Well, you should report suspected cheaters. However, remember that players that are rated around 1200 are probably not cheating ... after all, if they were consistently using an engine, they would be rated much higher.

You're damn right to conclude this! It's humanly impossible to play 1:1 like an engine.

I believe the public discussion on cheaters/cheating is forbidden here, but by all means, report those people right away, because they're sucking all the fun out of the game for the others.

Gloomshroom

"I played my Queen to g6 and he played pawn on f7 takes my Queen on g6, Rybka says it's the best move in the position U DO THE MATH!!!1!1!"

Isn't there a Report button in Live Chess? Use that one. Or, alternatively, you could just fill out a ticket and submit it to the staff.
