I am a high 2200 rated player in rapid that is almost at 2300. Does anyone have tips not just to reach 2300, but also go past that to 2400?

I actually hit 2500 elo recently so i can tell what i did to reach 2500 elo Since I didn't want to spend money on coaching, I turned to the best free resources on the internet. If you want to climb, I highly recommend these:

  • Chess Vibes (Nelson Lopez): His "Move by Move" explanations in live rapid games are the best for understanding how a Master thinks in real-time. Ik he isteachings for begginner /advanced level but still it help me how does a nm think, The move by move explanation is the best thing , i love to see that

  • Chessable: I used the free courses (like Anish Giri’s) to master the Najdorf Sicilian and Nimzo-Indian. I even risked my 2300 rating just to test these lines—every loss was an answer to where my theory was lacking.

  • Master the Endgames: I ground through free Chessable courses and i studied Jacob Aagaard’s "Positional Play" Chess books helps

  • Analyze EVERY Loss: Why did I play this? What was the idea? Which tactic did I miss? This is the only way to fill the holes in your game

  • Watch "The Chess Nerd": I love his OTB journey videos—they make the struggle of tournament chess feel relatable and fun.

  • Loss is the key to success : Every loss is learning

  • Study opening - know the plans of the opening what is the idea of the opening

  • Dont play while tilted : It will make you lose more game instead analyze the game or wash your face and calm youself when you are losing games

  • Do lot of puzzles: Do atleast 3 puzzles per day and do the daily puzzle. It helps in improving tactics

Chess Vibes is not beginner level, I watch him because he is 2400. Chess Nerd, I will start to watch him again. I already have an opening course and know what to play against most things (and I fill that gap if I face smth unfamiliar, I'm not 100% familiar with the course and only remember general ideas).

will do puzzles and analysing EVERY game even when tilted, also using my brain before engine.

thanks so much.

yes but he himself said that he makes most of the videos for beginners/intermediate players , but his live game videos and puzzles videos are fun and lot to learn

generally up to 2100 considering the rating climb. yeah, the constant streams (which I usually can watch live) are really interesting and probably helpful

Hmm, I heard Chessable wasn't good, but I will certainly risk a try maybe?

Might be worth putting more work into your endgames - even pretty basic positions can decide games at that level. It's the same here. You never know what to expect from each of your actions. Overall, I manage to win. Although the anticipation of the result is more exciting than the victory itself.

actually i havent studied lot of endgames its all experience that why playing lot of games help u its easy and fun way to improve, My routine of every day do daily puzzle or puzzles then play one rapid game analyse it for 2-3 min and then move on to next game And also i first i learned opening and i sticked to it for lot of time . u should stick to one opening and master it ! thats my advice play the same opening everytime and whenever u do mistake in opening computer will point out and then try to not the same mistake agn , But endgames are also important, i analyzed bunch of my games where i reach endgames and made a excel sheet where i put some of my games that i reached in endgames and the saw the patterns where i did mistakes ine ndgame and then worked on it , i did the same for openings and middlegames! it helped me to find the common mistakes i made in chess! Losses are helpful to improvend also you should also see some super gms games and try to understand what their plans

Not really free courses are there , im not telling to spend money , try taking one course of a opening that is free , it will help , it helps u to memorize opening by the method of repetiton , try yourself if u like u do it ! Its free of cost so there is no risk lol
