how to get better
Play longer time controls, scan the board for hanging material on both sides prior to every move.
You will never fully exercise blunders from your game, but you will cut back on them.
I myself still hang pieces almost as frequently as you do, and in truth they happen even at the Grandmaster level, albeit far more infrequently.
Learn some basic endgames and checkmate patterns.
And do a minimum of 10 tactics puzzles a day.
There is a ton of instructional content on youtube, some of my personal favorites include: Gothamchess, Daniel Naroditsky, Saint Louis Chess Club, Hanging Pawns, and Eric Rosen.
I promise you will see improvement in your play upon following this advice, perhaps not immediately, but chess improvement is a slow process for us all.
Good luck! :)
