How To Improve?

Hi guys, so over the past few weeks I've gotten really into chess and want it to be the hobby I invest the most time into. I currently (as you've probably already checked) am 1300 rating. I'm at a sort of wall about how I should improve, do I need to learn more openings? I know how to play a handful to a half decent standard and do often end up with a slight advantage. I've done a lot in regards to tactics (via the tactics trainer on here). 

What do I need to do see some improvements in my rating apart from just playing endless online and live games.

I one day aspire to be an FM because I do not want chess as my profession.

All opinions and views welcome.

Idk, play longer time controls? (I don't think 5 min games and faster are all that helpful.)

i would suggest Remote Chess Academy just type them in on YouTube they got some pretty good stuff to help you improve also i would recommend Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis there really good as well :) well i hope this helps bye
