How to plan ahead better?

I’ve been playing chess for some years now, and I have improved my tactics slightly and blunder less often. However, I have barely improved my planning skills. I am still just about as good at predicting future moves as I was when I first started. It’s like I can only see the next 2 or 3 moves, and it gets too complicated after that. It’s also challenging to predict what my opponent will do in the next 5 or so moves. Any tips on being better at looking several moves ahead would be much appreciated.

Do you mean planning? Or calculation? There's a big difference.
