2. Apply everything you learn about the Benko to the King’s gambit
3. Since Benko is black and King gambit is white, you will likely have to hold the book upside down at times so it so make more sense.

Find a copy of Masters of the Chessboard. Reti does a great job of explaining the ideas behind the KG. You might be surprised to find that it can be effective when played positionally. Enjoy the greatest of openings.

i play it myself. Watch the videos of different variations by hanging pawns on youtube. Go to playlists and search for kings gambit, there are 6 videos, with all the defenses black has. There is one variation Fischer defense and then defend the pawn, push it, to attack the knight and white has to retreat the knight to the back rank, which i do not like, but is rarely played at my level.
