This is a position we get in Queen's gambit declined game.

How to play this position from black side? Please someone tell me.

Are you joking? How is a blunder like that going to help?

Op, you can also insert h6 before the moves I mentioned.

i would suggest-h6

There are a few ways to continue for black from the diagram position but one of the most common is for black to play ... Re8 followed by Ne4 , another possibility is ... Nh5 and trading the dark squared bishops .... Ng4 fails to do this because white can play Bf4 , keeping the bishops on and the N/g4 will be misplaced and lose time later ...

I meant Nh4, not Ng4 (hilarious !)

NM Reb, what are your thoughts on the plan I suggested? b7-b6, Bb7 and c6-c5. Activates the light squared bishop and fights for central space.

....altho' I didn't know knights can now move that way. Is that a new rule ?

This plan is slow but has been played in more than a dozen games with white doing very well after 3 different moves :  0-0 , Qc2 , and Qb3

black can also play ...Ne4 right away in the diagram position , I think the R/c1 is misplaced and belongs on a1 or b1 , instead of putting the R on c1 white should have played Qc2 , a much more useful move ...

Well done Reb..

... but whats wrong with the simple h6?

Nothing wrong with it , its certainly an option for black as well . I am just always very hesitant to move pawns near my king unless forced to ...

There's a new video series on these types of posititons, BTW. Pony up some membership dues and take a gander.

Or, to translate into English, pay for a membership and watch the video.

....and you're right NM Reb.

Having my white-squared black Knight out on the open flats like that (w/ Ng4) is probably kinda dumb.

....and BTW, I don't play 1755. I play like 1450 (for 14.50 years !). A man let me win him in a snail mail game once and that got me this balloon #.

Never dumb Lola !  Mistaken perhaps but never dumb .  Wink
