How to quickly draw a game?

I want to be able to play openings that can quickly draw the game. Are there any "boring" openings that have reputations for draws that are not that complex to learn? I know that the Petroff is likely to draw but I am looking for something more queen pawn based. 

Also is there a good response to e4 that can do so?

Good luck, perpetual check scenarios about the only ones, that arise for players below the most elite levels. Even that high up, many players would rather play to win instead of draw.
