How to turn off pop ups on screen

goto startpage --> account --> goto email and alerts --> in the bottom you can turn of auto tracking off for the friends you have by each username.
it says you can turn off tracking and still be friends so removing the alert doesn't do anything about the friendship
note: I am seeing all menu items in danish so the names might differ but I translated them to what guess they might be called in english
Every time a friend logs in or off, I get a pop up notification which is annoying sometimes. Does anyone know how to turn this off? Thxs
