First
study a book 20 minutes a day
tactics 15 minutes
rapid game w/increment
My rapid keeps plummeting and it’s almost back to 1700 for the first time in several months. Any advice on how to stop tilting and recover some rating? Should I study more and play less?
yeah maybe study a bit more. and look at possible weak points like tactics, positional play, endgames you need brushing up on, middlegames (ig just mainly in relation to tactics and positional play? idk what else...), and openings you do bad against.
First of all you're not really tilting, it just feels that way.
your peak is 1864 so it's quite normal for you to drop out of 1800
if you just accept that and try your best in the next games you'll be doing fine

I would recommend a two-three day break from chess
If you've been playing a lot recently, take a break. If you haven't been playing much, start playing more.
I would just not play online, to be honest although I would reccomend Aagard's calculation grandmaster prep book , it's definitely hard for 2200+ otb players but when I do those puzzles I get big streaks on chess.com

Cool, never seen that book before but I’ll make sure to check it out

You need an experienced coach! I see that you have a debut preparation, but it is weak. You don't have preventive thinking, mid-game plans. You need to study more and play less!
