I want to improve my chess.I have a issue with my improvement, because I don't know what to do. I have got a artur build up your chess1, and perfect chess trainer app, I will start working with those from tomorrow, in addition I would love to know what did you do to become 1300 to 1500 rated chess player, sorry for my poor English and chess rating, I'm working on both of them, thank you very much everybody.

Don't hang your pieces! You can do this by using your eyes to detect when this might happen. Good luck.

thanks Strangemover, it happens, but my opponents just exchange all the pieces and quickly reach the end game and win.any suggestion

Find out what is your problem...

Answer is in your games>  dig it ,  find it and fix it

A Better player or coach can help you in this.  Work on your tactics always helps, Good luck

I never saw anybody get checkmated in 7 moves in the Queens Gambit before.
That is amazing.

If you can post a game or 2 that you have lost it will be easier to identify weak parts of your game. It's difficult to speak generally but in my experience the difference between 1300 and 1500 is simply not losing material to blunders as often.

Why within 2 months...?

Don't play Blitz. Start learning about endgames, then middlegame (tactics, positions,...) then some openings that you prefer... Play at least 30 min per game (the more time the better).

Try to improve your tactics. I would recommend winning chess tactics by yasser seirwan

Good Luck!

If you lose in the endgame, work on your endgame. There is nice stuff on the endgame under "Learn." I agree with Kinghunter: Work on tactics. I do tactics work every day. It helped me recognize when I hung pieces and how to target hanging pieces.

YU_2

If he 'just exchanges' pieces in the opening and it becomes fast an endgame, study how to play the endgame in order to win. When does he reach an advantage?

gerrald_sull

If i was your coach you would be 1500 in two months exactly.

When you exchange all the pieces in the opening you have to learn chess positional and try to get an advantage with at least one piece, as a tip , get a look to the masters openings

I think the strongest learning tool is big longchess otb tournaments. You play games for ca 4 hours, and analyse with your opponent after the game, and later analyse with the computer. I had a fantastic tournament in Konnerud, where I scored poorly, but got analyze help from three players that was strong enough to tell me exactly where my problem was. (I attacked before I was fully developed). After that my strenght probably grew from 1400 Fide to ca 1650, but my rating dropped, which means that my future opponents gets blows they dont expect.

Play multiple games of daily chess while you study the lessons here on Chess.com. I'm not sure blitz and rapid is the way to learn. I feel I learned more playing slower time controls while I studied end-games, tactics and openings. My daily chess rating rose from 986 on Oct. 26, 2016, to 1428 currently.

Maybe chess.com should exclude users from playing time controls below 15 minutes till they have a rating of, I dunno, 1500? in daily chess and the same in lessons. I'm half serious. Nearly all the posters I've seen since joining this site, asking about improving their skills, have hardly any games with time controls above 5 minutes.  Maybe a sticky like "Tips on How to Improve Your Chess Skills" or "What Not to do if You Want to Improve" would be helpful.... but probably not.

And to be clear I'm not really referring to the OP. He seems to be playing reasonable time controls for rapid play. Still, daily chess should be a large part of ones games and really spend time on the moves.

Blitz has a good side too, you experience a lot differnt openinglines, and togheter with analyse after the games it can help,

but real strenght comes with longer time, because it takes time to find the best moves and plans, and calculate well. You never learn good calculation without trying long and hard.

I like some variation. I dont have time and power for longchess every day.
