Remember - not everyone has studied opening theories. Well, you can't exactly expect 100% of players to study such traps. I'm sure your opponent has innocently thought that you hung the queen.

 

Still, it's remarkable how the Black queen was shockingly an "accomplice" to the Black king's demise (by not allowing the king to escape via d8).

But if you take someone's queen, isn't your opponent supposed to resign? Black didn't respond correctly.
