I didn't get "Surprise!" achievement after I played my first game of Crazyhouse a few minutes later. Any ideas how to solve this problem/bug?
You only get achievements for variants played in the Play server, not /variants, with the exception of 4PC.

It's the main Play area. Play > Play > Custom Game and change from Standard to any of the available variants
I am not getting 'surprise' or '3D glasses' achievement in my awards account. Does anyone know how to get these achievements ? If you did get them I am shocked . : C

I believe 3D Glasses is broken.
For Surprise you need to play Crazyhouse on the Play server. Playing in the variants server doesn't award achievements for anything other than 4PC
