I could challenge LeBron James to a 1 on 1 basketball game, but he will just ignore me. I’m not very good and he has nothing to gain and nothing to prove by accepting the challenge.
Maybe if I offered LeBron a million dollars, he would play me, or if I were his best friend, but other than that, it’s not going to happen.

Lol he is just challenging titled player means CM, NM and other. And you're comparing that with one of the basketball legends Lebron James. Being a titled player and being one of the Legends are two complety different things. And there are some titled players who hold Simultaneous exhibition or play Daily Games with lower rated players.

Well if I wanted I could challenged Carlsen to a adoption match but the question arises would be accept it.
Anyways Jokes apart there are many titled players who accept unrated daily matches you can challenged them there is not surety they will accept but yeah try your luck.
Plus a personal tip for your mate I would prefer you to improve your chess so much that you could be on a same level with all these titled players and can easily play with them.
Focus on Improving your chess mate not on beating someone.

.I also found that comparison complety ridiculous. " They don't have nothing to prove, or to show" lmao. some players are kind and openly accept challenges. Besides most of the CM's and NM's aren't really 2200+ elo as they are supposed to, they loose their rating eventually.
