I find 'win quick' gambits disgusting

Quality falling quickly now. Back to Evans' if I may.

Going by Opening Explorer, the Evans'. whether accepted or not, is a better proposition for White than the Giuoco Piano as a whole. I cannot see how, but that is how it looks going by Chess.com's version of Opening Explorer.

That's possibly because for decades in the 19th century the 'correct' way to play against it was unclear and the white player was able to get some kind of initiative. Lasker eventually came up with 4.Bxb4 5.c3 Ba5 6.0-0 d6 7.d4 Bb6 allowing white to regain the pawn but nullifying any initiative.

The Evan's, in my opinion, is definitely a brilliant move, but I really hate the pin on the c3 pawn. I just play d3, let my opponent castle, and chuck my pieces at them.

And pawns for that matter

I could not quite understand your previous post, so I thought I would search your games to see what you were saying. I could not find any Evans' Gambits as White.

chamo2074

Taking the pawn on c3 is a theoretical mistake, and is well known to be too greedy

No. I don't play it. I know taking on c3 is a mistake, but the fact that there is a pin, and there's pressure on the pin is just really annoying for me.

I like d3, bcuz they think I'm gonna play a slow steady game, so they castle, and I throw my pawns and pieces at them. Then they lose, cuz they weren't expecting it.

Je trouve même que les Blancs sont mieux avec 8. Df3!?

Il n'y a aucun problème pour les Blancs, au contraire.

PILOTOXOMXD

he says

I even find that White is better with 8. Qf3 !? There is no problem for whites, on the contrary.

PILOTOXOMXD

I don't like Qf3 bcuz you may be a pawn up, but development is terrible.

PILOTOXOMXD

Je n'aime pas Qf3 parce que vous êtes peut-être un pion, mais le développement est terrible.

chamo2074

Il n'aime pas Df3 car les blancs ne sont pas suffisament développés

chamo2074

Oh I missed your translation

PILOTOXOMXD

oh.

PILOTOXOMXD
