Going by Opening Explorer, the Evans", whether accepted or not, is a better proposition for White that the Giuoco Piano as a whole. I cannot see how, but that is how it looks going by Chess.com's version of Opening Explorer.
That's possibly because for decades in the 19th century the 'correct' way to play against it was unclear and the white player was able to get some kind of initiative. Lasker eventually came up with 4.Bxb4 5.c3 Ba5 6.0-0 d6 7.d4 Bb6 allowing white to regain the pawn but nullifying any initiative.
