At a chess club, I played a match against someone with a much higher rating than me. I picked an unusual opening from a book and he responded off-book. We continued to play. We adjourned. When I returned, I discovered that my opponent had removed all the pieces except the kings and his queen. I offered him a draw and he accepted.
Notwithstanding this draw, I filed a complaint because he had interfered with the game by removing pieces. I demanded that I be awarded a win and that he be barred from playing any games in the club for two weeks. (I'm a lawyer.)
Has anyone else had dreams about playing chess?
