Then how do explain post #15?

What's to explain?  Used to be easy now it isn't.  If enough people were looking for 30/10 it would still be easy.

You either didn't read or didn't understand the last sentence in post #15.  You have played less than 100 games of what is now called "rapid" chess in the last five years.  This is not ancient history that I'm talking about, but only in the last few months when everybody was forced away from a version that had a seek graph on the Live Chess page did I ever have a problem finding these easy matches.

Here is a possible solution to the problem, but, while plenty of people have replied to this thread (and, I thank you), nobody, as of yet, has replied to this suggestion thread:

chess.com does not "advocate" speed chess. Or it might but that is of littel relevance on whether you find slowish games or not.  There is plenty of choises on time limits and three most popular are

10,5,3 minutes.  People really seem dislike increments and slow chess. And internet it makes sense. You have extra 10 minutes far more often than extra 3 hours anyway. So adding 30/10 would give you any more playing options. Just another button

https://www.chess.com/article/view/interesting-chess-data-time-controls-and-game-results

so anything with increment is marginal and anything longer than 10 minutes is marginal. 30/10 would be doomed on start.

OK, I must not be explaining this very well.  30/10 is NOT unpopular.  Sure, it might be relatively unpopular compared to blitz, but I've played easily over 1000 games of 30/10 (or a similar time control) on chess.com, and many of these games were recently.  Recently as in last month.  You can look at my archived games and see them.  I didn't imagine them.  The 30/10 players are still there but they're clearly not typing in 30/10 as a custom control (maybe because that's not an obvious thing to do in V3), or they used to see those matches pop up on their seek graph which is now harder to find on V3.

I have now resigned my eight-year premium membership mostly because of this issue.  This is a sad day, and I feel like chess.com could have resolved this.
