I hate when people stall games that stretch over a long period of time

Okay so I started this 14 day game, and it’s been seven days. The person hasn’t moved at all! And he is white, so I can’t play until he does...what to do?

Wait...

That’s why I only play 3 Day games.

If the other player hasn’t made the first move. I believe you can still abort the game with no rank change.

I have 1 daily game going.  Its a 7 day per move game.  My opponent has made his first move.  I will wait the 7 days before moving.  Why?  Because it teaches me patience.  Sure i can just go make my first move, but part of my improvement is learning to be patient, resist moving fast, etc.  No one died from waiting, unless you were holding your breath,

This is not the first thread to complain about that. Frankly, if you didn't want to wait 14 moves for your opponent to move, you should pick a faster time control.

It's only "slow walking" if your opponent is in a forced move situation, especially if you opponent is being force mated. That being said, if your opponent always waits many days to move, regardless of the position, Chess.com isn't going to have much sympathy, even if your opponent is on the verge of being mated.

"unless you were holding your breath,"- LOL

Or bleeding to death, choking, but you get my drift.

yes, but it gets annoying. You had a choice to move, but I can't since I am playing black.
