I have a 72.4% accuracy rate in Blitz, and I'm in the low 800s

I don't get it.  I have a super high accuracy rate for my rating, and still, I am managing to lose.

There are people who are in the 1500's who don't have a 72.4% accuracy rate.  So how is this possible?  It seems to defy logic.  The usual people in the 800s have accuracy rates in the 50s and low 60s.

I'm doing what the computer thinks is accurate, but it doesn't seem enough.

Who knows, maybe if I can get it around 75%, I will finally break through the wall.

It only takes one bad move to lose a game.

You are losing 30% of your blitz games by timeout. If you look at the accuracy scores of those games, many have 70+ accuracy.

How accurate you are is not an indicator of what rating you should be at. Simply because it's easier to have higher accuracy against an 800 rated player than against 1500 rated one. Also, accuracy is based on your analyzed games, so if you only analyze wins it will always be higher compared to your analyzed draws/losses. If you keep up scoring average 72,4 percent accuracy rate, it would be impossible to not improve, but in order to do that you will have to do puzzles regularly, studying openings and stuff like that. I hope you understand that just because you have 72% and some other guy rated 1500 has 56% it doesn't mean he is worse than you at chess.

Yeah, the near 30% of losses by time out is too high.  I'm going to try to get that down to under 20%.  I did recently go to 5 minutes plus 5 seconds, and that seems to help a little, but it's still way too high.

Also, I think I don't usually go for a checkmate unless it's really obvious.  So, my accuracy rate might be higher because I'm going to the end game more than the average person.

As far as puzzles go.  My Puzzle rating is over 2000.  Better than over 90% of chess players.  Even though I admit 2000 in puzzled is inflated.
