I keep timing out on the other person's turn

this keeps happening and it's making me angrier and angrier. i let it go everytime and just start a new game but I'm so sick of it. I am constantly timing out on the other person's turn. I'll make a move, it will sit there sometimes for 3+ seconds, then takes my move back that I just made and tells me I timed out. but I made a move with multiple seconds still left. I reckon at least 80% of my games I lose are from timeout and at the very least, half of them are after I've made a move. I'm so sick of it.

it's not though because it doesn't happen for any other move of the game, if we're both premoving, all the moves happen immediately. it's only when my clock gets low, it will sit there and time me out after i've moved. it keeps happening and it's making me really angry.
