I lose against someone that never plays

Out of my circle of friends that play chess, I study the most, therefore, I tend to win the most against friends. However, I have this one friend that studies no chess whatsoever, he doesn't even play! He simply knows how the pieces move and never practices, yet, he always beats me! He's been playing for less than I have and never cares about developing his pieces correctly in the opening. Yet he somehow just doesn't blunder! He remains equal and replies strongly to my moves, and oftentimes finds killer attacks and tactics! He doesn't even have the Chess.com app! It's gotten to the point where I don't underestimate him and try my best, and always end up losing. I tend to beat all my friends that actually do practice, so I'm so confused and frustrated. How is this guy so good if he doesn't care at all about chess? Is he just some sort of natural and it's easy for him? No matter how much I improve, I always end up short, just against him!

I wish I did! We only ever play over a real board because he never plays on his phone! Next time I see him, I'll try to annotate my game with him
