Start memorizing positions. Develop "strategic preceedence" and understand that long games involving calculation are just the same as bullet games requiring intuition, but shorter games require faster thinking and good positional understanding.

it will also boost your rating a few hundred points, wether you're playing rapid or bullet

Play more long games. If you practice and get better at long games (say more than or as much as 30 mins per side, with an increment) you also get better at blitz/bullet. It is usually not the other way around though.

Play lots of fast games, but study where you went wrong each time you lose.  Yes, I agree a bit, playing 5 min or less games, might as well play Ms. Pac Man.  But if you don't care about getting better at real chess and have fun with the fast games, then so be it.

Me too daily rating 1300+ 960rating 1500+rapid rating 1300+,bullet rating 784?!

Story of my life, my advice just don't play bullet or blitz. It's basically a waste of time. That's coming from someone who has wasted a lot of time trying to solve the same problem.

I'm good at long time controls but I suck at bullet and blitz. How can I improve my gullet and blitz rating?

Nothing to worry about.

alexanderthemonk

I'm 1800 rapid 1200 bullet ... I guess some people just suck at bullet

Chess360

just keep on playing bullet, be fast, but don't forget to see the board!
