I repeat my question. Can I play a computer on chess.com to find my rating?

Does the computer actually rate you when you play against it? I'm thinking the best way to find out your rating on this site is just to play a bunch of rated games. I think the rating is peculiar to the site, because I notice that my rating here seems to stay about 100 points higher than my rating at gameknot.com (as nimroy). Challenge me to a rated game if you'd like.
