Trolling can be funny (even if you're mostly annoying), but giving bad advice to people asking how to improve is just mean.

I provided the OP with the best piece of advice that he will ever receive from anyone on this forum.

To the OP:  consider this fact...  leiph18 has only been a member since December 29, 2014 and has only completed a total of 19 games played over a one month period of time.

In direct comparison, take a look at my profile and look at how many blitz games I have played on chess.com.

Let this be another lesson.  Not all advice that you receive should receive the same amount of weight.  There are many unqualified players who will offer advice.

the problem here is that your rating is garbage for how long you have played

KirbyCake

You really should not be running your mouth like you do.  I have defeated many players rated much higher than you and I have played many players who are much better than you.

To date, your greatest win is lower than my own.  I have played against some of the strongest blitz chess players on chess.com on a consistent basis, while playing GM level players to draws and allowing highly rated player to preserve their precious ratings.

Your arrogance in picking a fight with someone of my high level of blitz chess skill is a demonstration of your foolishness.  You dont even play 5/0 blitz chess and a majority of your recent matches have been against a single 1700 level opponent because you actually enjoy playing repetitious matches against the same opponent over and over and over again.  This is partially due to the sense of comfort that you take in playing those same opponents, but it is also due to your unwillingness to truly test yourself against top level competition, which an opponent like MaxStranger is not.

If you doubt anything that I am saying, then simply look at my record again and verify whether in fact my best win is better than your own.  That is a single example of the truth of my words.  I know you better than you might think and if we ever met, I would crush you.

i have defeated GMs in 5/0 blitz matches back when i was playing seriously.

i play against lower rated opponents because there ARE no higher rated opponents on chess.com. i play against the same opponent because they challenge me to a rematch, and i accept.

i can bet you even at the level I'm playing at right now, i can smash you in blitz without even trying.

Guys it's time to play blitz matches now. Prove what you are saying.

You can pretend to do and be anything.  However, your record on chess.com is highlighted by the fact that you have accomplished little and defeated no one better than my best win.

You speak of GM level opponents who you have defeated in 5/0 blitz matches but yet you have not played a single 5/0 match to date on chess.com in your current incarnation.  You prefer the comforts of 3/0 blitz where you rely on timed victories rather than skill.  2 perhaps 3 games in succession against the same opponent could be justified by your rematch excuse, but 10+ matches points to the fact that you take comfort in playing the same opponent over and over and over again because it is familiar.

I crush overrated players like you who take comfort in days gone by and professed past skill levels for the shell that you are is the truest indication of your demise.   You're a rusted old can just waiting to get stepped on by one who is capable and willing to take the step.  Yet you lack the foresight to even recognize when you are in the wake of a greater adversary than you could ever imagine.  It is your weakness that draws the hungry beasts to your doorstep and it is your faltering skill level that will make you an easy prey for the monsters that surround you.

The fact that you believe that you are better than me does nothing to change the fact that you are not better than me.

go check my ICC profile, the fact that you use chess.com statistics when i've played here only after my skill level dropped 200-300 points is pathetic and shows that you are afraid.

if you go look at the seek charts, there are no human opponents to play against that are above 2000 rating, so how can i play against anybody 2000+ rated?

in fact you are probably so bad that a a 1500 rated player in my area would easily crush you.

heres the fact of the matter

the average rating of my opponents are higher than yours, and my win loss ratio is WAY better. you're just a shit player who can't even score positive against 1700s.

Your fear stinks Matthew.

You can pretend that you are not afraid, but deep down inside, you lack confidence in your own abilities and you know that you are weak.  The next time you look into the mirror, realize that you are looking into the eyes of one who is broken by his own hands and actions.  You are the cause of your own weakness.  You are the cause of your drop in ability.

And you know it...   I dont have pity for you Matthew.  You have to seek that elsewhere.

why would i be afraid of a garbage 1400 USCF player?

you're probably a loser who's never won a tournament in thier life, which is why you have nothing better to do but to try to troll people who are 10 times better than you.

Matthew, your weakness is your own doing.  In life, you can only point the finger at others or cast the blame on those around you because you lack the very basic ability to hold yourself accountable for your actions.  You have already sacrificed yourself because of your weakness.  Your fall is inevitable.

you know you've won an argument completely when the other guy is spewing complete nonsense about something that wasn't even related to the original topic, which is about you being a shit player, completely unqualified for telling other players they are bad.

Is the same person on two accounts arguing with himself?

I thought of an easy way to solve the argument if it's for real

Play some blitz games??

They probably have each other blocked or something. It's just pointless chest beating anyway.

Matthew, dont try to divert attention from your weakness.

The reason why you view yourself as fragile is that you are insecure about your abilities.  Perhaps it is because of your upbringing or perhaps because you have been raised in a cloistered environment that attempted to nurture you at the expense of emasculating you as an individual.  Regardless of the cause, it is readily apparent to anyone even upon cursory review that you are inadequate in every way.

Perhaps you do not associate much with females, but it's time that one told you that you come across as a weak little infantile boy.  Easily agitated and quick to anger, you lack the ability to suppress your emotions towards complete strangers in an online forum.  That simply reflects upon your lack of a sound foundation and is highly indicative of a lack of common sense or logical reasoning capabilities.

This will be my last post to you Matthew because you are simply worthless and unworthy of my attention.

My words will continue to pierce your being because you realize that my words are true.  You were born into a cloistered and coddled existence... one that enabled you to exist as you are.  However, in time, the world will consume you and your weakness will leave you wanting.

OMG the projection (real or imagined on my part) is painful.

I want to give you a hug and tell you everything will be ok.

(zero sarcasm in the above)

Dear OP,

You have a couple of fairly good players arguing over who is much better than you. Congrats!!!!

You have also been told by at least one weak player that blitz is a waste of time. As another weak player, I differ. Wasting hours waiting for a weak player to make moves (you won't be getting matched to strong players here) is no better than playing blitz against another weak player. Just because you spend a long time on a move doesn't make it a good move.

My suggestion is to play against a computer and try a few free computer lessons. Against a computer you can think as long as you like and it won't complain, and the computer will also be able to show you ways to move the pieces and pawns in self paced lessons

Kirby: don't be feared of showing your feelings. Nothing wrong about crying, let all of it get out, you'll feel better later. Truth often hurts, but is our only hope in the long term. Now you've realized the waste of your life, you're ready to embrace the path of hope ALIVE offers to you. Humility could save your life.

Shaving your head could be a good first step.

ViniMH

wow i saw your games, you really suck....

like we all did when we started, by seeing your games I strongly suggest you take a chess coach, for your level it can be anyone 1400+

since your rating also blows even harder, i suspect this is your real account, and you have a friend play on alive for you for the higher rating.

the problem here is that losers like you have 0 friends so the highest rated player you could get is only 1650 USCF.

its sad when you're so much of a loser that i could destroy you and any one of your friends.

ViniMH

I will annotate one of your games, I hope it'll help

Kirby: is not like you can find a lot of USCF rated players here in Spain, anyway. The range of my rated chess friends is between 1400 and 2250 FIDE. The unrated ones are maybe a dozen. The amount of friends of mine who don't know a bit about chess and don't give a damn about it must be in the order of one hundred, I think.

I hope this misunderstanding is fixed soon, anyway. I highly recommend you to ignore this stupid troll unless you are able to find some fun in your interactions.

klimski

Wow this thread turned ugly real fast. @astronomer that blitz isn't a great learning tool is pretty much consensus. My suggestion to play standard doesn't entail waiting for hours. You can play 30 minutes and still have time to think. But your tip about playing against the computer is right on! Peace, out.
