I'm going through this too. I loved chess, I've been studying, watching videos, taking courses, but I just waste money and never seem to improve. I've been stuck at 200-ish for almost a year, and I can't climb. Today I lost 3 games in a row, and it is starting to bleed into my everyday self-confidence. My brain is telling me that I'm not good at anythin,g and the only thing I can do well is listen to what people have to say. I need help

The sad thing about chess is, it's not really predictable on how I play in the moment in my experience. Of course outside factors tend to affect your gameplay such as sleep, focus and mindset. Dear person who lost hope,
Chess is not about winning. It is about sportsmanship, practice, patience, and more patience. When I was, what, 6, my rating in lichess was 990. Now, I'm 10, and I have 1400. Chess is about never losing hope, and that's what counts. Thanks!
