Hi, I am technically a beginner in chess, but I would like to improve. If you have any chess tips at all, I would like to know. If you have any questions about what kind of things I want to improve on, ask so you can provide me with some information. Just letting you know, if you are mean at all I will probably be a little bit savage. Not too savage because though that is not allowed.

Oh, and also respond as soon as you can because it is a good excuse to not do my homework in a good way. As in instead of scrolling on apps full of random brain rot.

If you have any tips to get off of that bad habit too I would gladly listen.

Hello! Try learning some tactic motives like forks and skewers. Very important!

My main tip is be naturally talented. That will be the deciding factor in how good you'll be, regardless of how much you practise.

Practice doesn't make perfect but perfect practice does (or good enough practice it depends on the person )learn from our mistakes and try to understand what's happening in your games aka make your opponent blunder more and you blunder less analyze your games

Playing against opponents that are better than you helps cause you get punished for mistakes more frequently

You could also read tips from blogs on grandmasters or ims they tend to be helpful everyone improves(or doesn't ) differently so their advice will be different

Try to figure out what works best for you

What chess openings do you play?

The_Misteress

Thank you for some of you tips!

The_Misteress

I normally open with The King's Pawn Opening.

And for the one where you said straight up "be naturally talented" do you mean see how talented you are in general before you try to just get better?

What do you do if your opponent plays e5?

The_Misteress

I would move my knight to c3, most likely.

The_Misteress

How do I know if you are fake or not?

The_Misteress

I don't do I? So therefore I will trust neither of you and listen to him for now.

If you like playing the above position, I recommend learning about the Vienna Game.

It is a playable opening for white.

What do you play as Black?

Lets say your opponent does the below move.

Also what do you play if your opponent does different move like the below diagram?
