i would want to allow the king to be able to teleport in the edge of the board to the other edge, but only the kings can do this move. So that back rank checkmates dont rly exist unless the opposite back rank is also guarded.
If chess pieces had special abilities (like in video games), what powers would you give them?

For example, maybe the knight could jump over two pieces instead of one, or the bishop could teleport once per game! What do you think?
