If There Was A Extra Chess Piece How Should It Move And What Should It Be Called

The bone crusher.  It should move like a pneumatic jack and every time it captures a piece the opponent must place one of his bones under the cylinder to be crushed.  e.g. a finger or leg.

Call it the "Obama". It's half black and half white and your opponent moves it on your turn and there's only one. When it is on your side of the board you must give a piece or a pawn to your opponent. this will last exactly 32 moves and the game will end. It fundamentally transforms the game into something nobody wants to play anymore. So it basically just sucks down the game and it's worthless.

ponz111

it is called the "younger bush" It makes stupid attacks and loses the game. It makes decisions by talking to God.  It can move in any direction.

denner

Yours is funny too ponz111. Actually both pieces suck.

ponz111

It is called the "patro" it makes move decisions by talking to God. Unfortunately God tells "patro" to make stupid moves.  "patro" can move anywhere and he also tells the queen where and when to move.

It's called 'parking warden'. You can't see it anywhere on the board, but if you stop on a square that someone or other has deemed illegal it appears from nowhere and issues a penalty.

Zinsch

Knight rider: Moves like a knight, but can also move 4 squares in one direction and 2 to the side, and 6 moves in one direction and 3 to the side.

The Decoy or Doppelganger: is an exact replica of the King and can do all the same moves, including castling, but if taken, you do not lose the game. Opponent can't tell the difference until it has been taken. A mark at the bottom of the piece is the only difference.  At the start, only you know which is the real one and which is the decoy.

I had thought of this yesterday but hadn't posted it! Surprised

Another piece i thought of is the Necromancer. It can reanimate any piece "killed" in the game. If the Necromancer moves or is removed from play, it breaks the spell and the reanimated piece is lost. Any piece that has been reanimated and then removed from play is lost. Lost pieces can't be reanimated.

It might be fun to have a video game version with these chess pieces. Pieces could be randomly chosen or have an upgrade system. The upgrade system either allows an upgrade per capture, or gives a point towards an upgrade (or points depending on the piece captured.) The upgrade could be for the piece doing the capturing or allowing the player to choose. Pieces upgrade should stay within their "lineage" (with the exception of the Decoy, and possibly other pieces.)

Lets introduce a whole new army called the IRS. They answer to no one and take what they want whether its their turn or not. They cannot be defeated.

Call it The Joker.

It's run by the chess.com computer and pops up on a nearby square whenever you blunder to laugh at your move.

i think i'd quit chess if there was a piece like that :/ (cuz i blunder allot in blitz)

How about a piece that hovers and carries a stick?  Any opponent's piece that lands right below him gets smashed.  Call him nut cracker.

How about one that is called Deathman, its the queen and knight combined. But you have to pay $100,000,000,000 to get one. :)

or maybe the Killmachine, which is your nutcracker and my deathman combined! But.. you have to have a ranking over 3000 to get a single Killmachine.  (so probably no one will get one) :)

The Sneaker. No one can see it unless if it moves to an illegal place it shows up suddenly and both sides can see it. If captured by the other side, the other side may "steal" it and use it as its own piece. Moves and captures like a pawn, except it can move directly backwards.

winerkleiner

How about the "invisable tripper", self explanatory.

Why not the brutaliser. This piece can take any trait of any pieces on the board but only 1 piece per turn with the piece only on your side of the board and it must take the trait of a diffrent piece next turn. If it cannot, it cannot be moved or captured.

But if this piece is captured instead of dying you can chose another piece on the board with the same number of points to take its place, with the points being the piece the brutaliser took on the previous turn. If the piece chosen to replace has higher points then the brutaliser, minus the points off it.

The Witch

She prays on other pieces and brian washes them into thinking they are the piece that they are not in order to confuse the position and ultimately force a potential win under her spell.

3point14times2

The Poisoner

Has a poison gun that can shoot 3 squares forward, backward and sideways, but only 1 square diagonally.

When a piece is poisoned, it has 3 more moves to live. Seriously. After 3 moves, the piece will die. But if it is a pawn and it gets promoted in those 3 moves, it is no longer poisoned.

Piece Value: 8 points

Played, but i didn't get my idea from there.

Edit: Actually, the removed from play part is probably from M:TG.
