Can really good chess player made a lot of money being chess sharks keep themselves feed by hanging out in pizza joints, having people buy them slices of pizza in order to play and learn from them?
Is this viable? How could a shrewd strong chess player leverage their skill for money/resources/favors in non-traditional ways, and would it be more lucrative than traditional avenues?
