If you were a GM just joining Chess.com what would you do?

I think I would troll in the forums for a good long time, play some ridiculous games, ask advice for improvement, and THEN go up to 2600+.

YES!!! Believe it or not, I've thought about this question as well. I would troll the forums until I've established myself as a well-known troll, and then reveal my identity in a televised chess.com event (Titled Tuesday, a blitz championship match, or something else of the sort).

Then afterwards I would keep on trolling.

If I was a GM I would not be reading the Internet forums.

Why would I spend my time reading idiotic posts by trolls or 1200 ELO dreamers who think that they can become a GM?

How would you troll?

Winning with bad openings is showing off... but gaining the admiration of players rated over 1000 points below you probably isn't very satisfying. Going from low to 2600 is the same.

Posing bad analysis to provoke correction is similarly unappealing in terms of showing off, and you couldn't post the analysis you personally find funny because it would be too subtle i.e. "obvious" losing moves would appear like correct moves to the unwashed masses.

I guess if the GM were young enough they might find it funny. Not very many teenage GMs around though.

Or if the forum were full of FMs and IMs.

I propose that we refer to Neslrac Sungam as Neslrac Sungam  in all urk postings.
