I'm not improving, advice?
For a practical suggestion, (if it hasn't been mentioned before), going unrated in Tactics Trainer has worked well for me.
The TT rating doesn't mean that much, and it takes the "pressure" off so you can really think through the problem.
I suggest leaving the timer on, so you can compare your solve-time to the average.
Also, I usually retry the puzzle 3 or 4 times if I fail and then look at the solution if I can't figure it out, and then go through the puzzle again once I know the solution, to set the pattern in my mind.
It is good to go to the analysis board as well to see the continuation if you don't understand why the tactic is correct.
One of the other cool things about the analysis board is that you can move the pieces to play out "what if" scenarios to gain greater understanding of why the tactic is the right one.
