So I can beat 1500s online in classical chess but when I go to tournaments otb 1000 rated players play like 1800s.

The 1000s also seem to not make mistakes

Because online chess is different from OTB. The ratings here aren’t really equivalent to OTB ratings due to the different rating systems and the pools of players. Also, the environment at tournaments are probably less casual than online matches, which is why OTB players could make less mistakes or blunders even at a lower rating

Oh oh

Well it seems they make no mistakes so idk how to beat them

Well if they’re 1000’s, try to complicate the position. Create multiple threats with each move and try to find tactics to undermine their position. Eventually they will break from the pressure

The difference between OTB and online chess is immense.  I've looked through games submitted on the forum, where OTB the players are around 1200, and I'm thinking, "I can't find any mistakes.  This is 1200 strength?"

Try not to ego.  Don't tell yourself, "I am 1500 strength," or whatever you happen to be.  Just go out, play your game as best as you can, and your rating will match your hard work.  If you insist that you are 1500 (or whatever) strength, then you'll have some hardships.

I recently started playing rapid chess after a lifetime of playing correspondence.  As my rating there is over 2000, I figured I would beat my first few opponents without effort.  Instead, I lost three times to players under 1500.  This forced me to shut up, stop thinking of myself as '2000 level' and just put in the work and play the board.  It's not fun, and my ego took a hit, but it helped.
