Impact of 1 Min. Games?

I have never seen the benefit of bullet chess outside of novelty fun. I kind of view it as a variant, except without the learning benefits of 960 or Giveaway or something similar. It is sometimes(often, for us lower ranked players) over before you really get into the meat of the middlegame, so the winner is often a matter of who can trip the opponent up with some snappy opening trap or who has memorized their opening line better(further). It almost seems like i do better when i dont think, and i just make moves as fast as i can. If you waste any time in bullet you loose. That isn't thinking chess to me - its just a novelty. Even the fastest players rarely finish games at that speed. I much prefer 5 min. blitz. At least you can actually finish games.

1 minute chess emphasises both tactics and long term positional considerations. It is good for your intuitive thinking.

too fast for me, I think people plays systems for which they dont need to care what opponent plays, as long as they can play 10 moves or so in matter of seconds.
I got to my level by playing 2/0, 5/0, and 1 minutes games. I think these kinds of blitz games help with seeing potential moves quickly. Probably not as helpful as analyzing/playing longer games. However, if you're going to play a fast game with anyone you need to practice being able to spot the "best" move within a second.
Because of the lag here on the live chess, the 1 minutes games seem like > 2min games on yahoo chess.
Especially helpful when you want to teach someone chess but do not have a prepared lesson... you can make up stuff as you go!
I see a great number of players playing games that are 1 minute games.
The only bennifit that I see to playing these games is to practice seeing the best move and imidiately make it without looking into the position...
I think that if I played these quick games, my skills would suffer...
Is there something that these games offer me to become a better player?
