Improving by examining my games?

3. ..Bg4? 4. Bxf7+! KxB 5. Ng5+ and white wins back the bishop plus a pawn.
f7 and f2 are seriously weak squares in the openings. Also, Bh5 um, okay. But then you play g6. White has already played h3 and after your g6...where does the bishop run to if white plays g4?
A good starter type book is Opening Traps and Zaps by Bruce Pandolfini. In there are tons of traps to learn and watch out for. Good for tactics and clues for further study.
Good luck!

If you are lazy it is definitely possible to get better by just playing . id say stick to the 'rapid' games not blitz. Pay attention to the really basic things while you are playing which might seem trivial but even as you get better you will realize how much it helps , ie calculating all the captures potential threats etc and being rigorous in checking.
