Would you purposely contaminate water then drink it? I doubt it. Therefore, why soil the good name of Chess and your ears with garbage such as rap?

Wow, that's pretty... well, mean. So what if you don't like rap, a lot of other folks do. As a genre it sells pretty well, so lots of folks must be into it.

To the OP, did you make this? While I'm not a huge fan of 50 Cent, or a fan of rap as a whole, I thought this was really creative. Thank you for sharing.

It's more than just mean, it's ignorant and closed minded.

I don't care for rap either, but if it's your cup of tea more power to you.

Yes, absolutely post that in that thread. Were it up to votes, you'd have mine.

It is up to votes!  The more "likes" on youtube the more likely it is to win.  Go to youtube and vote for it!  Share it with friends!

IN a land down under , young people refer to that genre of music as  RAP- CRAP , reminds me of a song ( every song sounds the same ) . Led Zepplin have a song - the song remains the same . Some people consider RAP music is similar to PUNK Rock music - ( LEARN 3 CHORDS ON THE GUITAR " AND YOU HAVE A TIGHT BAND ).

There is a lot more to rap than there is to a 3 chord punk song. A good rapper is a master of lyrics. The best rap songs have a better grasp on lyrics and rhymes than a lot of the singer/songwriters out there in other genres.

The most famous hip hop group to hail from Australia is the Hilltop Hoods. This post, by an Australian, would indicate that the author has never heard anything by them, so I'd advise everyone to take it with a crate of salt.

I'm glad my guess (that you hadn't heard them) was right. I first discovered them as the result of their music being used for the backing to this BMX video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2LTVhqHAdo

I wouldn't expect anyone not into hip-hop to have heard of them, but to comment so broadly on the genre without knowledge of the most critically acclaimed example from your own country... well, it just seems unfairly pre-judgemental.
