In what order would you study these books

I just saw this asked on another site and thought I would ask here. In what order should one read these annotated books? Chernev's logical chess move by move (I think everyone would say FIRST.) Weeramantry. - Best lessons of a chess coach McDonald. - Chess: the artvof logical thinking Pandolfini- Russian Chess-learn from the new champions Del Rosano a First Book of Morphy Anythng else? Not in D.Notation, please Stwils.

Thanks, farbror, and others who responded. I'm going with Morphy first. I looked at the book and I feel excited about starting with it. Then Chernev and McDonald . Then best lessons of a chess coach. Stwils.

I would read the first few pages of each book, in some random order, then shelve them to gather dust whilst I continued playing. Embarassed

I suppose if I collect enough chess books they will insulate a wall, quite ably. Laughing

I wasn't suggesting it as a study plan, merely answering the title question. Wink

Scan through them and read the one first that seems the most interesting to you.  I at any point you get tired of your first choice or want a change of pace, feel free to switch to another book that seems more interesting.  So far, over the last 30 years I have read the first two chapters of Rook Endings, by Levenfish and Smyslov seven times.  Sometime before I die, I might read the rest of the book.
