Interactive Chess Diagrams

Sort:

Do any of you know of a site where I can make interactive chess diagrams, like what are used to play through games on this site, and then link them directly to a different website?

If so I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean a website that supports chess diagrams (like here) or one that doesn't? If it does then you can copy the pgn file but if not you probably can't make that diagram because a pgn file alone won't do anything and can only be opened by chess programs and a "diagram creator" or whatever you want to call it, but that's the only chance you have of copying a diagram I think. I'm not 100% sure though.

Of course I have no idea how these "diagram creators" were made here but it's probably very complicated.

One that doesn't. I'd like to generate a diagram and then copy/paste the URL to a different website.

Edit. Nevermind I can't use HTML.

Otherwise that gameknot link is almost exactly what I'm looking for.

Wow, that's great. I might want to use that myself.

When you create and post a diagram here at chess.com there is a button called "Share" that will give you the HTML to embed that diagram into third-party sites.

HTML doesn't do it for me boiz. That is handy to know though for other things.

TheGrobe

Just scoop the URL out of the HTML that encapsulates it for a link to a standalone version of your posted game:

Wow...

You sir are some sort of wizard.

Thanks a million though.

Elubas

That makes me feel like an idiot. I assumed "share" meant something I was already doing: copying and pasting a pgn file.

You just search a Software like ChessFlare.com.
