IQ doesn't really mean how smart a person is, but it shows how much potential a person has. If a kid with IQ 70 studies very hard, he might be smarter than a IQ 150 who didn't study at all.
IQ to chess skill, does it make a differnce?
I know it sounds really dumb but my IQ is 73, and USCF is 1700, if my IQ was higher would that mean, my chess rating would be more?
IQ has absolutely nothing to do with chess. IQ is a measure of intelligence, chess is a measure of how good you are at a board game and in visualizing piece placements in your calculation, they are polar opposites.

There are several parameters involved in the concept of human intelligence. Chess is only a practical form of visual IQ. The super GMs are all very visual in their IQ-profile, and they can easily play several games simultaneously - blindfolded !
A complete IQ-profile should include these parameters:
- Musical-rhythmic and harmonic
- Visual-spatial
- Verbal-linguistic
- Logical-mathematical
- Bodily-kinesthetic
- Interpersonal
- Intrapersonal
- Naturalistic
- Existential

Chess is more logical than visual I think. You gotta understand the patterns and the logical interlinks between them

Certainly so, but if you don't see it in your head - you can't apply your logical IQ.
1) First we see something.
2) Then we assess if it is important or irrelevant.
3) If we find it important, we start analyzing it.
4) When our analysis is ready, we make a decision based on our conslusion from the analysis.

That makes a lot of sense. I'm still struggling to visualise the board in my mind but I can recognize patterns and solve tactical exercises based on what I see

I have a completely blinds mind eye. I cannot visualize anything in my conscious mind. I cannot recall any imagery, sounds, visuals, nothing. My Chess skills seem to be progressing along a normal rate, why would that be possible? Any thoughts?
I have no musical talent.

Chess is just another skill and is true for most other skills, u get better the more you do it. If for example say you are a billionaire who can afford to sit around all day and you decide to analyze games for 16 hours a day, calculating variations and visualizing positions for 16 hours a day then your rating will shoot up to the sky in a few months regardless of your IQ or anything else

If your IQ is really 73 you can qualify for the special olympic candidates. Stephen Hawking was kinda smart and he sucked at chess
You're asking if your brain was different, would you play chess differently - the answer is yes.
I went to university with a guy who could read Akkadian as well as you or I can read English (yeah, that horrible wedge shaped writing) but he couldn't add up a bill in a restaurant, and he caught a train to Scotland once when trying to get to London - people's brains work in many many different ways.

Well taking iodine in the form of sea kelp or other sea vegetable can increase iq. You don't have to born genetically with high iq.

I don't think u will be able to find your real iq in websites after they ask some questions and say this is your Iq dosent mean you are not smart

Congrats on your USCF rating
but idk why i'm pointing this out, but thats awfully close to the bottom 2
