It does not drive me nuts. It does not annoy me. Just ignore it like you do when your word processor doesn't like the names or words you are using.
Is anybody else annoyed by this?

What annoys me is that spell check tells me that I mis-spelled a word, but then keeps its #!@& shut as to how to spell it correctly.

if you are using firefox, you can turn off this option in Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> and uncheck the box that says 'Check my spelling as I type'

I'm a poor speller, but even I know sometimes I spelled it right when it's underlined in red... of course instead of risking it I have to google the word to make sure

I don't want it not to check... I want it to correct!

What I'm saying is that I want to check my spelling, but when I do, it doesn't just check my spelling. It wants to correct everybody else's spelling, that I quoted, plus their avatars. I can't just ignore it because I can't submit the post until I go through, and tell it to ignore everybody elses crap.

You know, we all have a limited supply of emotional energy to expend in our daily lives. While this spell-check nuisance may be annoying, I would say....
let it go.
We ain't writing dissertations here. :)
Bad idea. I've already got enough annoyances without this one. I let it correct your avatar for you. Hope you like it.

Many times, it's just a new word that I haven't defined yet.
Did you even read my post?

I'll make a point of doing so in the very near future.
I guess it can't be fixed, but doesn't it drive you nuts that the spell checker always wants to correct the spelling of other people's avatars, and everything else in things other people say when you quote somebody?
