My team has a team vote chess game with team ASIA.

Here is our opponent's introduction ( http://www.chess.com/groups/view/asia ):

It says that the best chess players in the world are from Asia.

Here are the best chess players in the world:

Forget about russians because Russia has territories both in Europe ( has its capital in Europe ) and Asia so it is a draw. Carlsen and Caruana are clearly not asian. I don't know about Aronian.  Anand is asian. Topalov, Nakamura and Vachier-Lagrave are not asian.

So where do the best chess players on Earth come from?

Aronian is Armenian, which according to Wikipedia's European map means he is Asian. Thus, if Russia is excluded as it is part European, part Asian, then there are 4 Europeans (Carlsen, Caruana, Topalov, and Vachier-Lagrave), 2 Asians (Aronian and Anand), and a North American.

Thanks for that. I know that the Ural Mountains are considered the boundary between Europe and Asia. So it is easy that Moscow is a european city. With territories that are south to the Urals I'm lost as to where they belong.
