It seems more like he simply went offline, possibly due to religious community bullshit.

Its this guy, his last post on youtube was in was Jul 21, 2014 video called "Spectacular Sky" which was 3 years ago and people said he is a really religious person because of his Facebook posts here is link https://www.facebook.com/The-Backyard-Professor-112903702055313/ and he didn't post for 2 years so do you guys know what happened to him because his chess vids were funny
