First of all, that was a suggestion. They simply made a suggestion about WGM norms and suggested making it  *HARDER* than it is now for women to get the title and 100 elo difference isn't a lot. Instead of saying you disagreed, you chose to insult them instead of engaging in meaningful discussion and sharing why you disagree. That is why I called your take dumb.

i didnt insult nobody and even if it was harsh galking this does not make my point dumb if you didnt understand my point is that lowering the level to satisfy and grant people that do not deserve to be gms a bonus just to satisfy them with a title just takes away the pride and effort to have the gm title which is gonna make this title less relevant also yes, a 100 points is a lot at higher level and in classical chess

If a WGM advances to a higher rating than a male GM, shouldn't she have a regular GM title?

well that shows how little you know about chess since when a woman gets a higher rating than a male gm she does get a regular GM title so thats why this thread is stupid i mean the WGM  title is a bonus to encourage women in the women section but there has been women who had regular gm title such as judith polgar or irina  krush

     Women are able to participate in chess just like men and earn "regular" IM and GM titles in much of the world today. Unfortunately, that was not the case in the not-too-distant past, and remains true in many nations today where women are NOT allowed in "regular" tournaments and so have only women's tournaments and titles.

Guys when I made this forum, I meant why have a separate title system for just woman.  And also, if you have a separate title system why do you have to lower the rating for women gm. I agree its kind of a way to encourage more female players into the game but there have only been 41 women GM's so far. And like I said, this is my opinion. Honestly I should have named this forum "Is Fide antifeminist" because the game itself isn't. Anyways,  its okay if you don't agree with what I said, but pls dont argue with each other. 

The WGM title seems a bit pointless, maybe patronizing. WGM rating requirements are the same as for FM. So they could just be FMs instead of "the lesser GM."

     Because where women are not allowed to play against men, there are very, very few highly rated players for them to beat and earn many rating points.

And are you happy with the result? 40 pages of misogyny, insults and trolling, just because of you. You must be proud.
