Karpov recently beat Karjakin in a (rapid?) tournament. He's still a very strong player.

Well, guess I'll unfollow. Some 12 year old asking if chess is for "old" people, probably imagining some really old guy with a beard, you know, as old as his dad because wow, that's ancient. Probably 40 years old even.
Meanwhile retirees chime in that they've rediscovered the game.

Someone who wishes to present themselves to the anonymous masses as a young woman lying in bed is probably not interested in the same sort of interaction as I am... whether or not that's fair to say, that's my impression.
